How to Scan Venmo Code Screenshot

Venmo allows you to scan a QR code directly from a saved screenshot. First, save the screenshot to your phone’s photo library. Open the Venmo app and tap Scan at the top of the screen. On the scanner page, tap the photo icon near the bottom, then select the screenshot containing the Venmo QR code.

Venmo will read the saved image and take you to the associated personal or business profile. Confirm the person’s name, username, or business information before entering an amount and sending money. This method is useful when someone sends a Venmo code through a text message, email, social media message, or group chat, because you do not need a second device to display the code.

If Venmo cannot recognize the screenshot, make sure the entire QR code is visible, uncropped, clear, and not covered by text. You can also ask the recipient to send their Venmo username or share their profile directly.
