Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Payable.at ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

Payable.at provides a platform for users to create and share payment link pages that aggregate multiple payment methods in one location. The Service allows you to display payment information, generate QR codes, and track basic analytics about page visits and clicks.

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Handle Requirements

Your handle (username) must:

  • Be between 3-32 characters
  • Contain only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens
  • Not impersonate others or violate trademark rights
  • Not be offensive or inappropriate

We reserve the right to reclaim handles that violate these requirements or are inactive for extended periods.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
  • Facilitate illegal transactions or money laundering
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights
  • Distribute malware, spam, or phishing content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Collect user data without consent
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

Payment Processing

Important: Payable.at does not process, hold, or facilitate payments. We only provide a platform to display links to your payment methods. All payment processing occurs through third-party providers (such as PayPal, Venmo, Stripe, etc.).

You are responsible for:

  • Complying with the terms of service of your payment providers
  • Ensuring your payment links are accurate and functional
  • Any disputes or issues with payments
  • All fees charged by your payment providers

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (profile images, display names, payment information). By posting content on our Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating the Service.

Our Content

The Service and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are owned by Payable.at and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use your information.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service
  • That the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAYABLE.AT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
  • Any interruption or cessation of the Service
  • Any bugs, viruses, or malware transmitted through the Service
  • Any errors or omissions in content
  • Any loss or damage resulting from payment disputes

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Payable.at and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Termination

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate your account at our discretion
  • Remove content that violates these Terms
  • Refuse service to anyone for any reason

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the new Terms and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
