How to Use Cash App to Pay Without Card

You do not need a physical Cash App Card to send money to another Cash App user. Open Cash App, enter the amount, tap Pay, and enter the recipient’s $Cashtag, phone number, or email address. Add an optional note, verify the recipient, and confirm the payment.

You must have an available Cash App balance or another supported payment method. Cash App states that payments may be funded using your balance, a linked debit card, or supported options such as Apple Pay. Your available balance is the amount you can currently spend or send.

You can also use Cash App Pay at participating online or in-person merchants without a Cash App Card or card number. At checkout, select Cash App Pay and either scan the merchant’s QR code or follow the on-screen Cash App authorization steps. Availability depends on whether the merchant accepts Cash App Pay.
